Jud Turner is an artist for more than 20 years. He is working with found objects and steel. Jud truly enjoys the process of making sculpture, where finding the right objects is a key.
His art shows the way he sees the world around him. He tries to engage public on different levels, starting from fun to many serious problems, such as mortality, passing of time or environmental sustainability, etc. Turner’s work has been shown in many exhibitions worldwide. He also has won many awards.
That is what he says about his work:
‘My artistic philosophy is, “between seeming contradictions lie greater truths.” My work is an attempt to engage viewers on several levels of visual perception; I make art that is fun to look at, but my sculptures can have disturbing implications and mixed meanings. The themes addressed in my work are contemporary issues that many of us ponder: mortality, the intersection of nature and technology, the passing of time, spirituality, and environmental sustainability.’
